[ AKA OPERATION: LARPING LET'S GOOOOOO
wait no, that's a lazyass name. itaru will think of a better one once tsumugi arrives at their rendezvous point located just a few blocks away from the eponymous strip club. to be honest, he didn't think tsumugi would be down for this when he contacted him about this quest earlier. it'd be too awkward to bring any of the autumn kiddos along, and he's sure that the director, sakyo, and tsuzuru would pummel him if he even brought up the idea with them, so that leaves him with-- ]
hey hey
agent moogert
you almost here?
over
[ oh god.
good thing the night is upon them and the strip club will be just as dim so that no one would be able to discern them. ]

Nah, it's fine. Being fashionably late does have its merits, so long as you don't do it often.
[ so tsumugi can still keep his agent points. but now, for the job at hand... itaru pulls out his phone and brings up a picture of the eponymous knights, which should be easily identifiable with their armor and uniforms. ]
All right. I heard that you can either sneak 'em outta there or just straight-up fight your way out, but obviously we can't do the latter with our power levels at the moment. To sneak them outta there without catching the staff's attention, we gotta dress the part.
[ and this is why itaru had purchased the cheapest knight costume that look nothing like ones the celliwig knights usually wear. it's not that easy to get their actual armor, okay, you gotta be an actual knight first. but as a lancelot kinnie, itaru should feel right at home, right? ]
All right, so -- I'm Taro, one of the fledgeling knights who was tasked to bring the knights back to their partners or else they'll get into a whole lotta trouble. The staff probably wouldn't wanna make a huge argument over it.
[ for tsumugi, however... well, to make it less embarrassing for his oomf, itaru will provide the earrings and cheap wig, because tsumugi will go in as - ]
And in case that doesn't pan out, you're gonna step in as one of their partners. Don't worry, I'll make sure to slip them a note to play along in case they do have partners. [ an awkward pause, and then: ] Do... Did you manage to get a dress...?

[ whoa, this is feeling more and more like a legit stealth mission! itaru's all pumped up already, giving tsumugi a thumbs up. ]
(Man, this is so convenient. Yeah, you can go right in first then tell me what the sitch is inside. Good luck, Moogert-san.)
[ the fact that he didn't burst into laughter after calling tsumugi that... it's fine, they got this. it's not like they're children anymore, they can handle a bit of partial nudity and money being thrown around. right?
right??? ]

Tsumugi-san!
I need your help.
I'm talking to someone called Edgar Allen Poe.
The name sounds familiar from classes.. was he that crime and mystery writer? I didn't know he wrote poetry too.
[ He's thinking of Edogawa Ranpo. He's never read either of their stuff though, so he just wants help not being a moron ]

( for Tsumugi, Izumi runs into the same problem she did with Kazunari: the obvious gift idea (plant stuff) is made more difficult due to the fact that Tsumugi knows a lot and Izumi really doesn't.
so she sidesteps the temptation of flower shops and instead ends up in a stationery shop, where she finds some beautiful, high quality notebooks with succulent patterns. naturally, the two she chooses have to be complemented by an equally high quality fountain pen. elegant and practical seems ideal for Tsumugi.
and, lastly, a card which reads: thank you for your passion for acting. )

[Congrats Tsumugi! You are one of the few adults he knows here, fully uninvolved in the current nonsense of his life.]

i would prefer over text
[Because he's afraid he will cry if he talks about this in person. He at least realizes that that message might be a little worrying, so he follows up quickly.]
it's kind of personal so it's hard to talk about face to face, yknow?
have you ever had a falling out with a friend

and i [He doesn't know what to do.] what did you do? how do you move on from that

[ Delivered to Tsumugi at like 5am from definitely a stranger is a half carton of six eggs.
Very unfortunately, Taichi literally dipped medium-boiled eggs in chocolate. The note says: ]
Friendship Choco!

[With how frantically Kazunari's been running around, thinking through his next course of action, planning and gathering materials, there's a high probability that he hasn't run into his housemate since the morning of the 14th or 15th.
He shoots Tsumugi a quick text so he doesn't worry:]
Heya bffle! I'm crashing at Director-chan's for a bit to work on something so I probs won't see you at home for a bit 。゚(。ノωヽ。)゚。 Miss ya already! Kiss kiss!
